It was one of the most beloved Trucks and one of the longest-lived, was produced from 1952 to 1988 - becoming one of the most common vehicles of Fiat and earned the name "Lion of Africa" (or "King of Africa"). Among the technical features that have made the Fiat 682 popular around the world are included: the massive square cab of 2.500 mm, servo assisted pneumatic systems for steering, brake and drive wiper, central bridge with dual reduction, the gearbox without flange and the 6-cylinder engine of almost eleven liters overhead valve and direct injection, which provided 140 horsepower at 1,800 rpm.
