1960s - THE ECONOMIC BOOM

The German company Magirus located in Ulm, started in 1864 as a manufacturer of fire-fighting vehicles. In the late '10s started the production of trucks and buses; in 1975 it was among the five European companies that formed Iveco. The Magirus Sirius 85 D 10 of 1963 is an example of post-war style characterized by the rearward cabin and the typical “round snout”. The 5.3 liter engine with air cooling system provided 85 horsepower and allowed to reach 80 km / h . The transmission was 5 speed + reverse not synchronized.
