THE ELEGANT " BIG SNOUT "
In 1947 was put into production the heavy truck Esatau widely used as a basis for the construction of busses and the first of a long series of versions which, in all 1963, were produced in 15,525 vehicles. This truck was avant-garde, compared to the needs of the times, both for the line, characterized by a long and slender snout, and for reliability and affordability of exercise. The consumption was of 20 liters of diesel per 100 km and it had a payload of more than 7,500 kg. The model 864 was produced from 1953 to 1955.
