CNH Industrial per Telethon – E’ in gioco la solidarietà

This year the Industrial Village of Turin, Strada Settimo 223,  has hosted one of the most significant events in the field of  sustainability in support of the medical scientific research: "CNH Industrial for Telethon - Solidarity is at stake". The Telethon Foundation is one of the major Italian charity, committed since 1990 to fund and develop scientific research on genetic diseases through the funding of the excellent biomedical research. The important role civil society in terms of contribution is fundamental: volunteers on the territory, business partners and donors who every day help the research to progress toward a cure.

CNH Industrial and its brands Iveco, Iveco Bus, New Holland Agriculture, Case Construction, FPT Industrial, were the sponsors of the event and, with a series of initiatives, actively participated by donating all the proceeds to the Foundation. The initiative was attended by four hundred people on the evening of Saturday, November 29. There were many guests, Francesca Pasinelli, Telethon General Director and Alessandra Biffi, Telethon Researcher, some local political authorities, in the presence of the godmother of the initiative, the TV presenter Elisa Isoardi. For the group intervened Mauro Veglia, CNH Industrial EMEA - Commercial Services & Customer Care. During the evening Pierre Lahutte, Iveco Brand President, has auctioned one New Daily vehicle on Charity Stars, the first charity fundraising platform that allocates the proceeds of online auctions to solidarity actions.

The Marathon begins: some volunteers, coordinated by Carla Aiassa, the responsible for the Piedmont Region, in concert together with Pierluigi Stella, head of the Village and Daniela Ropolo, head of the sustainability department that for CNH Industrial, have transformed the Village in the 'square' from where have been transmitted the live RAI television connections from Turin – presented by Gioia Marzocchi – During the connections has been given the chèque to the Foundation by CNH Industrial.  Special guests, Justine Mattera  e Claudia Andreatta. As a backdrop: the cheerfulness of more than 400 athletes, children and adults, who competed in a football tournament five-a-side, attended by 35 teams - including the category "Pulcini" of the Juventus and Torino club - for a total of 55 matches played.

The winner was the solidarity, nobody excluded, each athlete was awared by the former professional footballer Simone Loria and by the FIGC LND Vice President for Piedmont and Aosta Valley Regions Giovanni Mantelli. Not only the sport but also the art in evidence with the painter Elena Zambon, the actor Roberto Nali and the ballerinas of the company "Arte e Balletto" of Turin. All together for promoting the charity sale of Telethon merchandising and Caffarel Chocolate Hearts.

The 12, 13 and 14 of December, more than 3500 people have run the Marathon with CNH Industrial for Telethon, carrying their contribution to research, to whom every day fights against a genetic disease, for a total of 110.000,00 euro donated to the Foundation.
